But if you are considering this because of the insert, I will list the measurements of the openings for you so you can decide.
- The smallest circle is 1" in diameter. This will work for a lot of brands of eyeshadow. I used Karity.
- The medium circle is 1.5" in diameter. This will work for some blushes. I have found that my Tarte blush is exactly this size and will be depotting it so I can use it in this palette.
- The large circle is 2.25" in diameter, and works with the DYT bronzer, highlighter, and oil-blotting powder. I am unsure of what other brands of make-up would fit here (though if I do come across something, I will definitely share! The DYT make-up is more than some prefer to spend, or not everyone's preferred brand).
You can also buy empty metal pans and press make-up into them and REALLY customize your palette. Some people put lip colors in those.
If you are depotting, I would make sure to pick up some of these! They will make the metal pans you remove from your other make-up compacts, magnetic. They work like a sticker. Annoying as all get out to remove the backing (wwwwhhhhhyyyyy?!) but definitely a necessity. You do NOT want to have your make-up falling out and breaking. Magnetize those suckers.
This is a set of 30, but note that my compact came with a generous amount included with the price (about 15-20).
