And it's a product review. Those all seem to just cluster up for some reason. But this is a product I feel like the entire world is sleeping on. The Karity Lip Lock liquid lipstick. This is not to be confused with the video I did on a product called Lip Lock that is just a clear lipstick SEALANT from the DYT boutique, by the way. They're not affiliated with Karity, and aren't the same thing at all, as Karity Lip Lock is a lipcolor, and Lip Lock is something you put on OVER your lipcolor. (Though if you want to watch that video HERE, I included links on where to buy it CHEAP!)
But this is a product review that was actually put on the backburner for weeks and I finally went and recorded the video this morning (because one-take videos are how I roll, nothing highly edited and fake over here), but considering that this is a $6 product, I think you'll be glad to be introduced to it, if you haven't already heard of it. (Plus, I'm giving all my blog readers $5 off their first purchase)
I was already a fan of Karity's eyeshadow line (most of it was pretty good and pigmented, though I had issues with one or two colors that just sucked, but at $4 per piece, I'm not complaining TOO much, since out of all their colors, I only disliked two).
Anyway, here's the video of me test-driving the 4 colors I ordered, and showing how transfer resistant they are!
For those of you who were curious about ALL the colors, this is a really great video, plus she's just adorable. She bought the entire collection and you can see what EVERY color looks like.
You might be wondering how this holds up to my other favorite long-wear, transfer-proof lipcolors, like Stiff Upper Lip lipstain and Lipsense.
I would say it definitely holds its own with those higher-priced brands, and compared to Rimmel Provocalips (which is a similar price point around $6-7), it just beats Rimmel into the ground and runs laps around it. Not to mention that Rimmel Provocalips only has a handful of color choices, but Karity has 15 the last time I checked.
If you want to try this out, here's your $5 off coupon, and get on their mailing list if you want to take advantage of their sales and when they do free-shipping promos (I am a sucker for free shipping).
Type 4s, if you're looking for that perfect cool-toned burgundy, Tick Tick Boom will not let you down! Or, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Lipsense's Blu-Red or Fly Girl, Candied is a perfect match.
Thanks for watching (er, reading?), and I'll see everyone on Monday!
