I have been feeling camera-friendly, so let's just go with it! As you know, I don't video-edit (this is both a good and a bad thing), because I want to keep my videos feeling honest, and like you're there with me, as much as possible. I think it's important for people to see how I honestly talk and move and what mistakes I make. I don't want "perfect" in my videos. I want REAL. And this video features a direct, real-time, side-by-side (eye-by-eye?) comparison of my favorite go-to fiberlash mascara which is Deja Vu (or D.J.V) beautinizer fiberlash mascara, and Younique's 3D fiberlash mascara.
Neither are particularly cheap. They are both in the "high end" cost range for mascara. I have had to import the D.J.V. mascara after Sephora stopped carrying it (I still feel betrayed, guys), but it is now available on Amazon. Younique products are sold through their representatives but I have a friend who reps and she has a website (she doesn't live near me, but she has a site). I'll throw links in for anyone who wants to buy anything, but if you have a local friend who sells Younique, support her! If you don't know anyone, then support my friend (I get zero kickbacks, I just want to make sure that you have an easy way to buy the things I share if you are interested). If you get the trio pack of lash serum, mascara, AND the 3D fiberlashes, you save 20% by the way!
Obviously I was a bit unsure which one won out in the video, but after seeing myself in the mirror and seeing the photos, I think it's really apparent which brand yielded more dramatic results. The poll seems almost useless now.
Also, something you can't tell from photos or videos, is the TACTILE difference between the two. Younique is soft and fluffy and flexible still, and d.j.v. is a bit stiffer and heavier feeling. It's not something I notice when wearing it, but having it only on one eye and not the other, brought that difference forward.
*literally things that have been said. And it's not MY fault Applebee's sucks.
