What to do with all those free samples you accumulate from Sephora... I don't know about you, but I really dislike make-up samples that come in a little packet, as opposed to a container with a lid. The thing is, their "single use" size is always WAY too much for me to use at once. So I just try my best to tape them back shut to spread it out and then hope they don't dry out. Especially with things like lotions or anti-aging products. I tend to just put those on where I need them, not all over my face.
This is a perfectly fine method at home, because I can just set the torn-open packet in a little basket on my bathroom counter. But if I'm traveling, and want to bring a sample size packet with me, I can't reseal it in a way that won't be spill-proof in my luggage.
And that's where this tip comes in! You can buy small, cosmetic-sized plastic containers with lids for really cheap on Amazon.
Then I just tore open the "single use" (lol) packets and consolidated them all into one container. This is obviously only helpful if the packet is large, or you have multiples of the same product. I am NOT advocating that you just mix all the things together and see what happens!
This might seem like a "no duh" travel hack, but it took me an embarrassingly long time to actually do something this simple to solve my problem.
And not only are your "single use" samples now multiple-use containers, but you can easily pack them and not worry about spilling or bursting.
I use a little sticker (like the kind used for labeling prices at garage sales) and put it on the top of the lid to label what the product is.
I hope if you aren't already doing this, that it was helpful to you!
