This post is about some fun and crazy make-up, inspired by my 6-year-old daughter. As you all know, I do like to have fun with make-up on occasion, and this was one of those occasions. I asked my daughter what colors I should wear, and she said (at about 6000 decibels), "PINK AND PURPLE!!! AND THIS ONE!" ('this one' was white). She was sooooo excited about this, that I basically HAD to follow through, because I was NOT about to deal with the tears and emotional fallout from disappointing a really really happy 6-year-old.
So here you go.
It's probably the whole hooded-eyelid-thing, so when my eyes are open and normal, so much of the crazy shimmer colors disappear underneath the folds, so I'm actually pleasantly surprised by this "Unicorn Make-up", as my daughter put it. It is almost... normal looking! I even sat through a web meeting and said nothing about my make-up, and I am actually certain that no one really noticed. I expected people to say, "OMG WTF YOUR EYELIDS ARE SO SHINY SWEET BABY JESUS" and instead, we just carried on as normal.
Would you let a 6-year-old pick out your make-up colors?
