First off, I received my bra for free (I paid shipping though), because I somehow had a kajillion gazillion points. I assure you that did not sway me in any way, because I get lots of stuff for free and the novelty of it has worn off years ago. I don't really care if something is free, but I'm always upfront about whether or not I paid for something myself.
There are multiple strapless options, but I chose this one in the tan color:
I chose the tan colored one because I'm light skinned and this works as a "nude" for me. I am disappointed that there are no BROWN shades of this bra, by the way. Nude =/= beige.
I am NOT posting a photo of myself in the bra because really, there isn't much to be said about what that looks like on me. I'm flat-chested. It's not like I can show you some amazing push up effect or how supportive it is, because those don't really matter when you're in my size range.
For reference, the size I ordered is the smallest they have available, which is 32A...
...which is too big.
It fit well enough around my rib cage (FYI, the band sizes run small, which is great for me, but probably not so much for everyone else), but the CUPS were rather empty, and there was a ton of gapping between myself and the bra in the cups. I know, #flatgirlproblems. I HATE the gapping.
BUT, I used a pair of small cuticle scissors to snip the part where the underwire is, pull the wire out, and that fixed the problem. Why did that work? Because it allowed the cups to be pulled wider, and therefore FLATTER, when I put it on. The wire prevents the band from stretching cups (for obvious boob shaping reasons), but since I don't really have boobs, that's not necessary.
So fellow Itty Bitty Titty Committee members, before you toss out a bra that that leaves your cups half-full, try removing the underwire! That works for me about 90% of the time. Plus what person as flat as us even needs underwire support?! Pffft. Toss it!
Once I removed the underwire, the strapless bra fit me really really well, and yes, it does stay in place, and yes, I can do a bridge in it but I don't recommend it. Mostly because we're probably all too damn old for that shit.
I think one of the reasons why it stays up is that the bra length (from top of cup to bottom of the band) is a little bit longer. Not as a long as an actual longline bra would be, but having that extra inch past the cups means that the band overall is wider, and you have extra support as well. This bra does NOT slip down!
Now, I think that if you are built like me (flat and waifish), this is going to work AMAZINGLY for you! It's the bra I grab most of the time (if I am wearing a bra at all that is). I don't just grab it when I need something strapless; I grab it to meet ALL of my bra needs. This is my workhorse, everyday, works for all occasions, bra!
If you are NOT built like me, well... make sure you keep the tags on it so you can return it just in case. What works for someone like me rarely works for someone who is busty. Maybe this is one of those rare bras that works for the curvy girls too, but I have no idea personally!
But if you are smaller than a C cup, this is the strapless to get! Grab one HERE! Also, Lively has a pretty generous rewards/points program, so grab some matching undies too (they run a little large, so size down). They also have swimwear (though I haven't tried them).
What do you think of Lively? Have you tried their bras? I'd love to get some feedback from my curvy friends and readers!
