I love a good pattern, and this scarf is actually a little something I picked up at Hermes while on holiday because tax-free shopping rocks my socks off. It's the Marveilleuses Lanternes silk scarf, part of their new spring 2017 collection, and it's the 90x90 cm size. It's the standard square size that Hermes offers, for reference.
The jeans are the Cigarette Slim by 7 for all Mankind, which is an "ankle" length jean, but if you're petite, this works as a full-length pair of jeans that you actually do not have to hem! The tee shirt is Elizabeth & Clarke, and the shoes are cheapies from some place long forgotten. The necklace is from Express. The bracelets are from the Dressing Your Truth Type 4 store, and Ashley Bridget. (Polka dot water bottle is Kate Spade).
Another perk of being short and teensy is that we don't need to buy a special larger size scarf to wear them in fun, unconventional ways! In my outfit, I'm wearing it as a faux kimono style shawl, and it's really easy to do, nothing complicated at all. You simply fold it in half like so, and tie the corners. Then you put your hands through your new "sleeves" and drape over your shoulders, and you're done.
Obviously you don't need to go buy a $400 silk scarf to do this, either. You can use any square scarf that is at least 35x35" square (or 90x90 cm square). I personally think this look only works well with silk or lightweight polyester scarves, but if you want to use a warm blanket scarf, go for it. It will be harder to tie the knots, though.
Off to bed now! I have a long morning ahead!
