- Dress: A New Day chambray dress from Target
- Shoes: Black ankle boots from Mootsies Tootsies, from 6pm
- Accessories: Blanket Scarf and Peacock Feather tights are both from Modcloth
This outfit is me, taking some basics, which are dark-wash chambray dress (which exist by the way, praise be unto the flying spaghetti monster) and some black ankle boots... and jazzing it up with some fun accessories! I've got my tights, and a giant blanket scarf.
Okay, how on earth does anyone my size wear these things? I mean, I took this with me to Amsterdam because I literally used it as a blanket on the the flight, and to keep myself cozy during a literal snow storm (which was not at all like what shut down the schools for two hours out here in Seattle Land).
Because I am.
I clearly don't understand how the Basic Bitches on Pinterest wear these things without looking like they wrapped an entire bolt of fabric around their necks. I am ENCUMBERED by this thing.
I suppose the obvious answer is that they're probably taller than me, by a lot.
Petite Fashion Tip: Us shorties do not wear blanket scarves... blanket scarves wear us. Unless you literally need a blanket or will be traveling to some god-forsaken tundra, just leave this trend where it belongs: on Pinterest next to the mason jars, where they will eventually die.
Have a great weekend everyone! I will be posting some videos next week and trying my hand at actual editing (nothing fancy or fake, like I won't be filtering myself to look prettier or any nonsense like that, that a lot of beauty bloggers do to pretend like their foundation really did remove all semblance of their pores). It'll probably just be things like cutting out some boring parts, adding a title page and end page. Stuff that my middle-schooler can probably do. So if you haven't already started following me on Youtube, this would be a good time to start, since I will be working on improving the quality of my videos, and making sure they stay short and to the point. I will be looking into better lighting options as well. I am fully aware that there is a lot of room for improvement, and I am really glad that you guys all tolerate the poor quality somehow! (It's because I'm bribing you with giveaways, isn't it? I KNEW IT)
For the newbies, I am going to mention that I always take weekends off from posting, but I'll be right back on Monday! Most of the time my posts go up in the late morning or early afternoon (and I am in the Pacific Time Zone), so you know when you can start expecting to see new content! I generally announce that there is a new blog post up, on Instagram, Twitter, and/or the Facebook page.
Have an awesome weekend!
