For Christmas, I bought my tween daughter a subscription to Ipsy. It's an inexpensive way for her to try out make-up as she has started to experiment with fashion and self-expression, and I decided to play along with her. I am not posting her similar make-up look because I did not acquire the proper permissions (ha, she's such a mini-me), but we both decided to wear dark navy eyeliner and shimmery pink eyeshadow. She wore red lipstick with hers, but I stuck with the icy tint theme and went with a pale shimmery pink lip. I also added some silver eyeliner as well, and some shimmery white eyeshadow on the corners of my eyes and used it to line underneath my eye as well.
You'll have to forgive the dumb angle and facial expression. Because I have hooded eyes, it is a little harder to show off my handiwork without looking really smug and condescending. At least I know that when I'm looking down on someone with utter disdain, that my eyeliner is on point.
The eyeliner is Nyx Faux Black eyeliner in "Midnight" (from the December Ipsy bag), the pink and white eyeshadows are from Karity, the silver eyeliner is Urban Decay 24/7 "Bobby Dazzle", the lipstick is Rimmel London from the Kate Nude collection, and the lip gloss is some mystery no-name brand whose label rubbed off long ago. That probably means I shouldn't be putting it on my mouth, because yes, make-up DOES expire, but I live dangerously and am willing to risk it.
