Over the next week or two, I'm going to do a quick run down of the past few months, with a focus on the holidays of course, when we all have a great excuse to dress to the nines (like a Type 4 ever needs an excuse though).
I may not have had the happiest or healthiest holiday season (*cough* enough wine to sedate a horse), but at least no one could tell. I wear my chaos on the inside, and pull out the take-no-prisoners stillettos for the outside.
I bought this sheer Temperley London dress (maybe it's a tunic? I'm short) and wore it over a white tank top and striped mini-skirt. Yes, striped. I don't know, I really liked the effect of layering different unexpected things. I wore a basic nude pump (Pigalle Plato, by Christian Louboutin), and the necklace is from a fashion subscription box (I forget which one; I had a problem for a while and subscribed to EVERYTHING much to my husband's horror).
Most of my jewelry is from random stores or boutiques. Nothing super expensive. I think most things (besides a couple of designer or gold pieces) were less than $25. Spending tons of money on jewelry is not something that brings me joy. Shoes and clothes on the other hand... well...
As usual, minimal make-up. I wore eyeliner, and a nude lipcolor. I do prefer to wear my hair down because it weighs a lot and an updo gives me a migraine. I like to just work with the loose curls I naturally have, and just polish them up a little (Biosilk shine spray is my product of choice these days to liven up my locks).
Here are some highlights from Thanksgiving dinner... if you can call an entire bottle of wine dinner.
I apparently do not hide my disdain very well.
