Some people manage to look really chic in oversized shirts, but there is something all wrong with this. It's not fitted enough, not oversized enough, not *something* enough. The color is right (the flower necklace is not), but the top is just too flowy for me I think, and the floral pants just add another layer of soft/romantic/feminine and it makes it just all wrong for me. I am not a soft flowy feminine type. This just doesn't jive with my 'kick-down-the-door-and-take-no-prisoners' attitude. (I do wear the floral pants, but I am very careful with what I wear with it, to not veer into girly-froo-froo territory).
The top and necklace are from a subscription box and the pants are 7 for All Mankind (and the chair behind me is an old floral recliner that I reupholstered because I do way too many DIY projects). My middle daughter, Nubbers, has a very unfortunate haircut because this is the best that could be done after she decided to cut her own hair... and her sister's. (Also, she thinks she's winking).
