I decided to cancel Sephora Play, and I'm still in the process of figuring out the best subscription service for cosmetics for myself, and Boxycharm comes up a lot, so I went and subscribed last week and my July Box just arrived (as a late subscriber, my box obviously wasn't being shipped out right away, but I should be receiving my August box at their normal time). Unlike Ipsy Glam Bag and Birchbox, these are 4-5 FULL-SIZE products, never samples. It does cost a little more, at $21 per month, but considering that as long as you like ONE item in your box, you come out ahead financially, it's not that bad.
What really got me to bite the bullet and subscribe was the free FULL SIZE GlamGlow mask I received as a new member!
That was for new subscribers who joined in July. If you sign up now, you get TWO free items, which are the Butter London eye palette that I received in my July Box, and the set of 3 brushes by Luxie. I am such a whore for freebies. I'm that person that signs up for things, gets my free stuff, then bails.
I don't have an opinion just yet, but so far, I'm liking the July Box, especially because I never met an eyeshadow palette I didn't like, and I was actually in the market for a foundation brush and now I have one! My August box is already tracking and on its way, which already makes me feel like this is better than Ipsy, where I receive their Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus way late in the month. You can check out Boxycharm HERE if you're not familiar. If you ARE a subscriber or used to be, tell me about the types of products that usually come, why you cancelled if you did, and whether BoxyLuxe (the upgraded box) is worth it!
