There is no such thing as too many black blazers, and anyone who tells you otherwise can just get the fuck out of here; you don't need them.
I bought yet another black blazer. I could totally justify this purchase though, because I had recently purged my closet from 8 black blazers, to merely 2. (Well, 3 now). A lot of my blazers were gifts from my mother. If she bought something that was too small for her, she would just pass it on to me, tags still attached and everything, as I am slightly shorter and thinner than her. BUT, just because a person is shorter and thinner, doesn't mean that the proportions are going to be correct or flattering. I donated the blazers to a charity in New York that gives women in shelters work-appropriate attire so they can get back on their feet (after all, even an interview requires you to dress the part).
This black blazer I snagged is 100% wool and very lightweight but really warm. So warm. I don't need a coat. What sorcery is this?!
Petite Fashion Tip: They have an amazingly well-fitting petite line that is perfectly proportioned for our smaller frames. We know that simply sizing down is NOT the right answer! Helmut Lang's designers and pattern makers get it.
Pardon the messy hair and white t-shirt, I was definitely busy, and as you can tell from the terrible lighting, I took this photo at the end of the night, disheveled and ready to lapse into a Nyquil-assisted-coma for the rest of the winter. I am kinding of liking this messy hair, t-shirt, blazer combo though. I don't know, it seems somehow French. (Ssssshhh, nevermind that I've never been to France... yet. Winky face.)
